National Tourist Drivers Association - NTDA

Our first meeting of the association was started in 2008 at the Colombo with the participation of a small group of mature members who were in the field at that time and a group of people who are informally engaged in the tourism industry with good experience in the field with the ideas of providing the best service to the tourists who come to our country.

Currently, under the supervision and full guidance of the Tourism Development Authority, we as an association are able to empower up to 7000 people who can work in the field and contribute to this industry. It is with humble pride that we inform you that even today, our association is working without expecting any financial benefits for the advancement of the tourism industry.

At present, the money we have earned as an association has provided many community services for the advancement of the tourism industry, and we feel that this small space that has been explained is not enough.

Currently, in the tourism industry, visits to archaeological monuments with cultural values as well as visits to Buddhist religious places, participating in water sports, and other sports events, visiting sea life exhibitions and wildlife related to forest parks, etc. are among the many activities that we do.

In addition, to aware the members of our association through training programs about endangered native species as well as migratory bird species, butterflies, reptiles, and other species and how to protect them. Furthermore in order to protect the balance of this planet, planting at least one plant for one foreign tourist who comes to our country and releasing acidified air (Oxygen) in to the air to give free breath to all the inhabitants of the planet is another step towards our goal as an association.
